Your morning glow-up, prepped the night before.
Overnight oats are peak "that girl" content. Adding matcha and pistachio turns basic oats into something that looks $18 at a café but costs under $4 a serve. Simple, photogenic, no cooking required.
Ingredients (1 serve)
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup milk of choice (oat milk recommended)
- ¼ cup Greek yoghurt
- 1 tsp Carnival Matcha IroIro — latte-grade matcha, vibrant green, zero bitterness
- 1 tbsp Just Nuts Pistachio Drizzle — ready-to-pour, NZ-made, no filler
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional — IroIro has natural sweetness)
Toppings
- Extra drizzle of Just Nuts Pistachio Drizzle
- Crushed pistachios
- Fresh berries or sliced banana
Method
- Whisk the matcha powder into 2 tbsp warm water until smooth and bright green. No lumps — this is the difference between sad matcha and real matcha.
- Combine oats, milk, yoghurt, matcha liquid, pistachio drizzle, and sweetener in a jar.
- Stir well. The colour should be a clean, vibrant green.
- Seal and refrigerate overnight (minimum 4 hours).
- Morning: top with an extra swirl of pistachio drizzle, crushed pistachios, and fruit.
- Eat straight from the jar. You earned this.
Why IroIro?
IroIro is our everyday latte grade — the same matcha Blue Moon Bakehouse uses for their famous matcha lattes. It's bright, balanced, and vibrant enough to hold its colour and flavour when mixed with oats and dairy overnight. This blend comes from a 6th-generation manufacturer in Osaka that sources tea from Kyoto and Shizuoka — we've been using it for 8 years across our venues.
Pro tip
Make 3–4 jars on Sunday night — sorted until Thursday. The matcha flavour actually deepens overnight.
